Job Summary
IBM is hiring a Data Engineer for its Consulting Client Innovation Center. This role is ideal for candidates who want to work on enterprise-level data solutions, analytics, and BI dashboards. You’ll support reporting, data modeling, SQL development, visualization, and continuous improvement initiatives for global clients.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze requirements and support the design, development, and testing of BI reports.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with business and technical teams.

Perform root cause analysis for report and data issues.

Support improvements in system performance, capability, and availability.

Assist in defining technical requirements and developing scalable solutions.

Handle source-code management, debugging, and troubleshooting.

Ensure high-quality standards and focus on continuous improvement.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required
Required Skills
-
Strong SQL knowledge including advanced SQL, joins, and relationships.

Hands-on experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau.

Ability to work with multiple databases and blend data sources in Tableau.

Experience writing Custom SQL queries to pull data.

Basic experience or exposure to: Python, Snowflake, ETL processes, Statistics.

Good debugging and troubleshooting skills for data controls.

Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new tools.
